Shutter is a UX/UI case study that I completed as part of my portfolio in 2020. The app has various features and follows a neomorphism theme to add value to the manual processes of photo editing

About

Shutter is an easy to use photo editor IOS application. The application lets you link your social media accounts to the app which allows you to directly export your edited photo to your online feed.  The app is designed to be the perfect app for anyone who wants to easily edit their photos, plan their social media feed and export directly to their preferred social media platform.

User Personas

Micaela, 22, Student

Micaela is a student and she takes her Instagram aestehtic seriously. She has some experience in photo editing and is eager to step up her editing skills. She is interested in an app which will allow her to help plan her feed and add filters to her photos.

Sara, 20, Influencer

Sara is a full-time Influencer. She gets paid to create content for brands and is constantly spending time editing her photos.She has a lot of experience editing photos and uses an editing app every day. She is interested in an app which will allow her to easily edit her photo and publish it to her social media pages.

Alexander, 24, Amateur

Alexander doesn't really take his social media seriously and is only interested in editing his photos once in a while. He has little experience with editing photos and needs an app that is easy to use.

Home Screen

The home screen functions as a feed planner for Social Media. When the user selects an image on this screen the tool bar will appear to showcase more of the app's functionality. The images can be dragged to rearrange the layout which then functions as a feed planner for Instagram.

The user can apply a filter from the selection available on the app. The user can add a filter to the favourite list for easier access.

The crop screen can be used to resize the image and crop the image.

A photo can be exported to the social media accounts linked to the app or saved to the camera roll. The user can add a caption to the photo which will save along with the edits made to photo.
